On the first day of your 8-day desert tour from Casablanca, we begin with a brief exploration of Casablanca’s highlights, starting with the Hassan II Mosque. From there, we travel to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, for a guided tour of its most important landmarks, including the Kasbah of the Udayas, Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Hassan Tower.
Next, we continue to Meknes, where you can admire its historic sights, followed by a visit to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. The day concludes with arrival in Fes, where you’ll enjoy an overnight stay at your accommodation.
After breakfast, begin your guided tour of Fes, one of Morocco’s most charming and historic cities. Your local guide will lead you to the city’s top attractions, including the winding streets of the Medina, the Royal Palace, and the Jewish Quarter. You’ll also visit the Al-Qarawiyyin University, recognized as the world’s oldest university.
Continue to explore the city’s rich heritage with stops at the famous tanneries, the ceramics square, and the Marinid Tombs, ensuring you experience the full cultural and historical depth of Fes. The day ends with an overnight stay at the same Riad, immersing you further in the city’s ambiance.
After breakfast, we set out on our 8-day journey from Casablanca. Our route takes us through the charming town of Ifrane, often called “Morocco’s Switzerland” for its unique climate and Alpine-style architecture. Next, we stop at the Cedar Forest to observe the playful wild macaques in their natural habitat.
The journey continues toward Merzouga, passing through the scenic Ziz Valley and its lush palm groves. Along the way, we visit Erfoud, renowned for its marble production and date palm oasis. Finally, we arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel or Riad.
After breakfast, embark on a 4×4 adventure into the Merzouga Desert, passing through several traditional Berber villages along the way. Stop in Khamlia village to experience the captivating rhythms of Gnawa music performed by local musicians. Continue your journey along the routes used by local nomads, gaining insight into their simple, desert lifestyle.
Return to your accommodation for a relaxing lunch, then prepare for a camel trek led by your experienced guide. Ride across the golden dunes to a desert camp, where you’ll enjoy dinner under the stars accompanied by traditional music before spending the night in the heart of the Sahara.
Wake up early today to watch the sunrise over the desert dunes, a truly magical experience. After returning to your accommodation, continue your journey toward Rissani, where you’ll explore one of the region’s historic markets.
Next, drive through lush palm groves to the spectacular Todra Gorges, famous for its dramatic canyon and towering cliffs. Continue on to the Dades Valley and Rose Valley, where you can visit a local rose cooperative. Along the way, stop at the historic Amridil Kasbah and the oasis village of Skoura.
The day concludes with arrival in Ouarzazate, where you’ll enjoy an overnight stay in a Riad.
After breakfast, visit one of Ouarzazate’s most famous attractions, Atlas Studios, where you can explore authentic film sets and props. Next, stop at the historic Taourirt Kasbah before continuing to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featured in blockbusters such as Gladiator, Cleopatra, and Game of Thrones. You’ll have some free time to wander the kasbah’s winding streets and take in its unique architecture.
Afterward, journey to Marrakech via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains, making stops at small Berber villages and an Argan oil cooperative along the way. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening and enjoy an overnight stay at your accommodation.

Continue your tour with visits to iconic landmarks, including the Majorelle and Menara Gardens, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and the Koutoubia Minaret. Wander through the historic Medina to fully experience the city’s rich heritage. The day concludes with an overnight stay in Marrakech, immersing you further in its vibrant atmosphere.
After breakfast, we depart from Marrakech and drive back to Casablanca. Upon arrival, enjoy a visit to the iconic Hassan II Mosque before being transferred to the airport. This marks the conclusion of your 8-day Moroccan adventure from Casablanca.
