Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Tangier airport, your driver will be waiting to welcome you and transfer you to your Riad or hotel in the city. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore some of Tangier’s most famous attractions, including the historic Kasbah, the vibrant Medina, and the lively waterfront area. Take a leisurely evening stroll to absorb the unique atmosphere of this gateway city. Overnight stay in Tangier.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you will depart Tangier and drive through the picturesque villages of the Rif Mountains, witnessing the stunning natural scenery along the way. Your journey will lead you to Chefchaouen, the famous blue city, renowned for its beautifully painted streets and unique architectural charm. Upon arrival, take a relaxing walk through the Medina, exploring landmarks such as Ras El-Ma, the Kasbah Museum, and the Uta El-Hammam square, while enjoying the peaceful ambiance and picturesque alleys. Spend the night in a Riad in Chefchaouen.

After breakfast, the tour continues towards Volubilis, the well-preserved Roman ruins and UNESCO World Heritage site, where you can marvel at the ancient mosaics, columns, and gates that tell the story of Morocco’s rich history. From there, continue to the imperial city of Meknes, founded in the 17th century, where you will visit impressive sights such as Mansour Gate, Sahrij Swani, and Qara Prison, all surrounded by the city’s historic walls. Finally, you will reach Fes, one of Morocco’s holiest and oldest cities, where you will stay overnight in a traditional Riad.

Today, after breakfast, you will embark on a guided tour of Fes, which is often described as Morocco’s cultural and spiritual heart. With your local guide, you will explore the intricate streets of the Medina, visit the renowned Al-Qarawiyyin University, and admire the beauty of Bou Inania and El-Attarine Madrasas. You will also see the Nejjarine Fountain, wander through the vibrant artisan souks, and visit the traditional Tanneries. In the late afternoon, enjoy a panoramic view of the city before returning to your Riad for another overnight stay.

Following breakfast, you will leave Fes and drive through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, beginning with a stop in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture and cool climate. Continue to Azrou to visit the Cedar Forest, where you can observe wild monkeys in their natural habitat and take memorable photographs. The journey proceeds through Midelt, famous for its mineral resources and apple orchards, and then through the lush Ziz Valley, where the expansive palm groves along the river offer spectacular views. Next, visit Erfoud, known for its fossilized products, before arriving in Merzouga, where you will prepare for a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi and spend the night in a desert camp, enjoying a traditional dinner and Berber music under the stars.

Wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the vast sand dunes. After breakfast at the camp, you will explore the Erg Chebbi desert, including a visit to a desert oasis and the village of Khamlia, famous for its traditional Gnaoua music. Continue to meet Berber Bedouin families, learning about their lifestyle and culture. Return to Merzouga in the afternoon and enjoy another camel ride through the dunes, experiencing the beauty and serenity of the desert landscape. Spend another night in a desert tent, enjoying a traditional meal accompanied by Berber music around the campfire.

After sunrise and breakfast in the desert, begin your journey back towards the Atlas Mountains. Stop at Rissani to visit the historic market and continue through the dramatic Todra Gorges, with their towering cliffs and serene river valley. Enjoy a relaxing lunch and take a walk in this breathtaking natural setting. The tour continues through Dades Valley, where you will witness unique rock formations and lush palm groves. Pass through Skoura, a charming town with its ancient kasbahs, before reaching Ouarzazate, where you will stay overnight in a Riad or hotel.

On the final day, you will visit the famous Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” followed by a visit to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site with its ancient kasbahs. Continue through Taroudant and then make your way back to Tangier, where the tour concludes with an overnight stay or transfer to the airport depending on your schedule.
